Loom stitch

Loom patterns on a grid that lines up like your warp.

Rows sit square on the loom, so the chart is a straight grid: one bead per warp gap, one row per pass of the weft. What you draw is what you weave, bead for bead.

Rows line up. Every bead sits directly above the one below it.

Loom and square stitch share the same geometry, so a chart drawn here works for both. Because the grid is straight, a 24 × 40 cuff is exactly 960 beads and the finished size is the bead size times the count, which is how the editor reports it.

Same design, other stitches

Move the cuff to another lattice and look again.

A pattern's stitch can be changed in the editor. The beads keep their codes; the lattice changes, so a diagonal that was clean in one stitch can be checked in the other before anything is bought.
