Brick stitch

Brick stitch, charted with the stagger built in.

Each row sits half a bead across from the one beneath it, the way bricks sit in a wall. The chart keeps that offset, so a triangle or a fringe edge is drawn as it will hang.

Rows stagger. Each bead straddles the thread between the two below it.

Brick and peyote are the same lattice turned ninety degrees, so a peyote chart can be worked in brick by turning it. The editor keeps both offsets exact, and a row count in brick is the row count you stitch, which matters for earrings and pendants that start from a ladder row.

Same design, other stitches

Move the cuff to another lattice and look again.

A pattern's stitch can be changed in the editor. The beads keep their codes; the lattice changes, so a diagonal that was clean in one stitch can be checked in the other before anything is bought.
