The legend

3,864 drills of DMC 3325 is 23 bags.

The legend lists each color's symbol, code and drill count, and rounds every color up to whole bags of 200 with the overage you set, 10 to 30 percent. Diamond Dotz colors count in their containers instead.

Symbols that stay put

Change the design. A is still A.

A color keeps its symbol for as long as it is in the pattern, so a canvas printed last week still matches this week's chart. The chart prints in color, or in black and white for a toner printer.

Canvas print file

A 30 × 40 cm canvas on a 36 × 46 cm sheet.

The design prints at 2.5 mm a square drill and 2.8 mm a round one, with a 3 cm border to stretch it by and the legend printed in the border. Send the file to the printer as it is.

One color at a time

Lemon now. The blues are done.

Companion view opens a diamond painting by color: the color in your tray lit with its symbols, the placed ones faded, and the drills and bags it takes. Your place is saved with the pattern, so the tablet and the phone agree.

Square or round

Pick the shape when you start. Round drills sit 2.8 mm apart, so a 30 × 40 cm canvas holds 107 × 143 of them where it holds 120 × 160 square. A pattern only offers the codes sold in its shape: DMC 321 comes round, Blanc comes square.

DMC or Diamond Dotz

Each pattern is made in one line. Diamond Dotz codes, DDC.8001 and on, carry their DMC equivalent, and the legend counts them in Diamond Dotz containers.
